Karla comes from San Jose, Costa Rica. Her tennis career brought her to USA with a full tennis scholarship at The University of Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelor in Business Administration. She became the #1 player in Costa Rica in 1984 & for Central America in 1987. She had lead the Costa Rican FED CUP Team in 90', 92',02',03'. She was an All-American at The University of Oklahoma and ranked #7 in NCAA Division I Doubles. Karla also earned the ROLEX Regional, "Big 8" Doubles Championship. Karla has been part of the tennis industry in Dallas for the last 9 years. Karla's teaching experience comes from Indian Springs CC (Tulsa, OK), Las Colinas CC (Irving, TX), Gleneagles CC (Plano) and Stonebridge Ranch Country Club (McKinney). She also leads the Junior Tennis Conditioning Program at Sky Athletic Club in Plano.
