Karla comes from San Jose, Costa Rica. Her tennis career brought her to USA with a full tennis scholarship at The University of Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelor in B.A. She became the #1 player in Costa Rica in 1984 & for all Central America in 1987. She had lead the Costa Rican FED CUP Team in 90', 92',02',03'. She was an All-American at The University of Oklahoma and ranked #7 in NCAA Division I Doubles as well an All-American at North Central Texas College. Karla has been part of the tennis industry in Dallas for the last 7 years. Karla's teaching experience comes from Indian Springs CC (Tulsa, OK), Las Colinas CC (Irving), Gleneagles CC (Plano) and Stonebridge Ranch Country Club (McKinney). She also leads the a Junior Tennis Conditioning Program at Sky Athletic Club in Plano.
